MHS members’ event
Anthony Noel is a garden designer with a passion for gardens, art and architecture. After art school he took a course in decorative arts at the V&A before training for the stage. Being involved in set dressing and props in West End theatres made him realise that gardens could be theatrical too!
Over the past 25 years, his work has taken him from the humblest beginnings in a Fulham back yard to designing gardens in America and Europe. Whilst nearer home: as a consultant at Renishaw Hall, home of the Sitwell family for nearly 400 years.
He lectures at the Inchbald School in London.
In this talk, with beautiful photographs by Andrew Lawson, Anthony will focus on smaller gardens including courtyards, roofs etc with emphasis on the value and use of foliage.
