MHS members’ event

Jane Scotchmer is now a regular speaker at Marden and we welcome her back to start our 2027 programme.

This is a new talk in which Jane will be talking about an array of interesting and beautiful gardens from several countries that have evolved over the centuries and crossed continents.  Her message is that not only are gardens essential for our well-being as individuals, but that they also play a universal role as cultural ambassadors. It promises to be fascinating and not to be missed.

After retiring from a career in public speaking Jane continues to pursue both her hobby of painting and drawing and her interest in art and landscape history. She also combines these pursuits with her love of travel in the UK and abroad
