MHS members’ event

Steve Bustin is National Chair of the Hardy Plant Society (HPS) and has been a member of the HPS Sussex group for more than 15 years. Steve is also a former Chair of Seedy Sunday Brighton, the UK’s oldest and largest community seed swap event and has written about gardens and gardening for magazines including Amateur Gardening, Beautiful Gardens and US title Pith & Vigor.
This is a light-hearted talk with lots of slides of beautiful gardens, some familiar and some less so.  Steve will tell us about gardens open to the public, from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon to the National Trust, and educate us on the history of the NGS. (He gardens in the city garden in Brighton and has himself previously opened his garden in the National Garden Scheme.) We are also promised a light-hearted quiz about the most popular cakes at NGS openings.

Competition - ‘A Plate of Seasonal Produce’ Competition’ (£20 voucher to the winner, £10 voucher to the runner up)
