MHS Members’ event

Alan Harvey is currently Hadlow College’s Head of Curriculum for Horticulture and Floristry – and has been for many years. He has always worked in the horticultural industry, on a range of nurseries & farms but always taught the subject too, even if it was evening classes while he owned his own garden centre and nursery. 

During this evening he will talk about a range of propagation techniques from seed sowing to taking cuttings and how to ensure they are successful. The talk will be a mixture of demonstrations and chat. Propagation of plants is bread and butter to us gardeners and there is always something even the most experienced can learn. This will be an opportunity to hone our techniques and start producing plants for next year’s plant sale!

He will also bring a selection of plants he has grown for us to buy.
